Dr. Raj moved to California in 1998 after graduating from Punjab Agricultural University. He has had a love for and fascination with animals since his childhood, which fueled his desire to work in the veterinary field.
He attended one year internship in Alabama and had opportunities to work closely with veterinarians specializing in surgery, internal medicine, oncology, and ophthalmology. Dr. Raj bought the Central Valley Veterinary Hospital in Manteca, which has been serving the local community for over 25 years. Before that, he worked at different hospitals in the Bay Area. He is an expert in small animal surgery and medicine.
Dr. Raj has a strong interest in preventive medicine, which is becoming of greater use as the prices rise in both the human and animal medical fields. Dr. Raj is a member of American Veterinary Medical Association, California Veterinary Medical Association, North San Joaquin Veterinary Medical Association and VIN (Veterinary Info Network), where he discusses his cases with Board Certified Specialists). Dr. Raj owns two pets, Cat named Rani, American Bull Dog named Cholo.
