Dr. Raj moved to California in 1998 after graduating from Punjab Agricultural University. He has had a love for and fascination with animals since his childhood, which fueled his desire to work in the veterinary field.
He attended one year internship in Alabama and had opportunities to work closely with veterinarians specializing in surgery, internal medicine, oncology, and ophthalmology. Dr. Raj bought the Central Valley Veterinary Hospital in Manteca, which has been serving the local community for over 25 years. Before that, he worked at different hospitals in the Bay Area. He is an expert in small animal surgery and medicine.
Dr. Raj has a strong interest in preventive medicine, which is becoming of greater use as the prices rise in both the human and animal medical fields. Dr. Raj is a member of American Veterinary Medical Association, California Veterinary Medical Association, North San Joaquin Veterinary Medical Association and VIN (Veterinary Info Network), where he discusses his cases with Board Certified Specialists). Dr. Raj owns two pets, Cat named Rani, American Bull Dog named Cholo.
Dr. Simran went on to receive her DVM degree from GADVASU then got her license to practice in California . Dr. Simran became a veterinarian because she always wanted to contribute in health sector and saving lives everyday gives her intense satisfaction.
As a veterinarian, Dr. Simran enjoys the wide variety of cases she gets to see. It keeps her engaged and pushes her to constantly update and refine her medicine.She also finds that, while challenging, helping animals and their people in difficult and unexpected situations is extremely rewarding.
When Dr. Simran is not treating patients, she enjoys discussing medical cases with her Vet husband and spending time with her family, as well as doing any social work mainly helping impoverished people. She has two pit bulls , Boozer(15y)and Simba(12y), and 2 cats Larry(5y)and Meatball(1y). Dr. Simran looks forward to meeting you.
Dr. Simi is a distinguished addition to our veterinary team, bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and expertise. A graduate of the esteemed Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph, Dr. Simi has been meticulously trained in the art and science of veterinary medicine.
Her passion lies particularly in the realm of veterinary emergency care, where she has honed her skills through a rigorous internship with a renowned emergency vet group. With a keen eye for detail and a steadfast commitment to excellence, Dr. Simi is well-equipped to handle even the most challenging cases that come her way.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Dr. Simi finds solace in the beauty of nature. Whether she’s hiking through lush forests or simply taking in the sights and sounds of the great outdoors, she finds inspiration in the natural world around her. In her spare time, she indulges in her creative side by capturing the essence of life through her intricate portraits.
Despite her busy schedule, Dr. Simi always makes time for her beloved companion, Toby, a cherished feline friend who holds a special place in her heart. Their bond serves as a reminder of the importance of compassion and companionship in both veterinary medicine and life.
